About Paradoo Prime
‘Paradoo Prime’ is located in Pigeon Ponds, South-West Victoria and owned by Tim and Georgie Leeming.
The modern, family farm has a strong focus on commercial farming to achieve profitable outcomes. The focus is to help clients achieve the best possible outcomes for their business. They have been breeding efficient, easy care, robust and profitable sheep based solely on performance recorded genetics since 1993.
Paradoo Prime has been based on Coopworth and Coopworth Composite genetics since 1990.
Originally rams were purchased for mating with Merinos in 1990 from the Oaklea stud and then from Cashmore Park in 1993. From 1995 onwards, merino ewes were excluded from the breeding program and a self-replacing maternal flock was established.
Until starting our own seed stock business, the commercial flock used only Cashmore Oaklea genetics. Purchasing high indexing and structurally sound sires improved the performance of our ewes dramatically during this time.
Having a high performing ewe base, we screened some of our best young dams and developed Paradoo Prime in 2006.
