T90 News – December 2022

We have had our first sessions!

Sessions have started around Australia and there are some great reports coming in.

Jim Meckiff with a Joining Ewe Lambs Team in NSW has reported that his group is enjoying using the information to set their ewe lambs up for success this year.

Dr Jane Gaussen with a Joining Length Exchange in SW Victoria has completed the first session with the group where they learned about ram pre-breeding checks, teasers, seasonality of ewes, and nutrition of ewes and rams pre-joining. Jane demonstrated what to look for in breeding rams prior to joining.

FAQs

Who is T90 for?

The T90 program was written for all sheep producers to increase their lamb survival. If you work in the industry, are new to the industry or are a producer yourself and want to learn about practices to increase lamb survival you should join an Exchange and see what T90 is about!

What experience or background do I need to attend?

To attend an Exchange you do not need any prior experience or skills. Anyone is welcome to attend and learn along side the 10+ others that will be attending. Exchanges are a great way to learn the information on someone else’s farm and network with others in the industry.

To attend a Team you need to have a farm on which to implement the changes taught in the program. Joining a team will be most beneficial when you are ready to apply what you have learned so you may decide to attend an Exchange this year then join a Team next year.

What do the Module prices include?

The prices listed on the website are for the entire module. So, to participate in a Joining Length Exchange it is a total of $242 (inc GST) for the whole program, including online learning material, Focus Farm visits and access to the online chat space. Final all pricing on the Module Pages.

Do I need to attend all the sessions in a Module?

Naturally you will achieve the best results by attending all sessions as they flow on from one another. If you  cannot make one of the sessions you will still have access to the online learning material.

Demo Farm Feature:

“Bokhara” is a commercial sheep property in the Shire of Boyup Brook in South-West Western Australia. It is owned and operated by Marianne Bombara who is excited to host a number of T90 Exchanges with Joining Length and Joining Ewe Lambs being the first to get started. We are taking enrolments for theses exchanges so please contact James Macfarlane or the T90 office to enrol.

The Property is emerging from ex-Blue Gum country. While they are currently growing Merinos there is strong potential for cross-bred lambs. New infrastructure on the property includes an AWI designed shearing shed, covered ProWay yards with a Clipex handler to name just a few.

James Macfarlane (AgricUltra) is the trainer for these T90 Exchanges. If you would like to join one of these T90 Exchanges call James on 0447 999 902.

Interested in becoming a demonstration farm? Either give your consultant a call or speak with us at the T90 Office on (03) 5571 9001.
